The present BJP-led government in both the Centre and the state is a government only for the corporate, leaving behind all the work-force classes, alleged AICC Manipur in-charge Bhakta Charan Das on Tuesday.
Das was speaking at the inaugural of the Indian National Trade Union Congress office at the Congress Bhawan in Imphal, which was also attended by AICC Election Observer (Manipur) Jairam Ramesh, MPCC vice-president Ratan Kumar among others.
He said that there are around 47 crore work force in the entire country and without them the nation cannot move forward. It is a pity that their issues and grievances are neglacted by the BJP government, which are runned by a few capitalists like Ambani and Adani, he added.
The Congress leader pointed out that the past Congress government made inclusive policy that the government, people and the nation would develop together, earn together to have money for survival and the workers have their constitutional right over their work and their earning and their value of work.
Unfortunately, the present BJP government had forgotten whatever the Congress government had done during their rule at national and state level for the well-being of the work-force.
Witnessing all the negligence of the BJP towards the worker classes, it is time for the entire nation to come under the banner of the Indian National Congress party, said Bhakta.
He assured that the Congress party will always work with the workers, trade union and financial backward people and entirely dedicate to them.
The Congress has been fought for the establishment of the country, service and tax, family, for the tribals and helpless people, he said, adding, "Congress leaders are bound to work for the workers and will never violate the constitutional rights of the people."
