Cleanliness drive along Langol range in Imphal

The main objective of the drive is to keep not just Imphal City clean but the surrounding hills and bushes as well from the waste materials tossed out by passersby.

A one-day cleanliness drive was conducted on Sunday under the theme ‘Cleaning Forest’ by Mami Thawan Foundation and Go Green Group, Manipur along the Langol range, from Thangmeiband Cheirao-Ching to Langol Lairembi.  

The main objective of the drive is to keep not just Imphal City clean but the surrounding hills and bushes as well from the waste materials tossed out by passersby, said a release.

The drive started at 6.30 am from Thangmeiband Cheirao-Ching along with 87 volunteers and was flagged off by chairman, Mami Thawan, Romi Meitei and convenor, Go Green Group, Maxton Singh, it said.
