India reports 14,306 new COVID-19 positive cases, 443 more deaths

India's daily COVID-19 recovery rate is the highest since March 2020, according to the Union Health Ministry.

The number of daily COVID-19 recoveries surpassed that number of daily positive cases on Monday and the recovery rate is currently at its highest peak since March 2020, according to the Union Health Ministry data.

On Monday, India recorded recovery of 18,762 patients, pushing the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,35,67,367 while 14,306 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, the ministry stated.

India's COVID-19 caseload reached 3,41,89,774, including 4,54,712 deaths and 1,67,695 active cases.  Active cases presently constitute 0.49 per cent of the country's total positive cases, which is lowest since March 2020, the ministry stated.

The country also recorded 443 deaths due to the infection in a span of 24 hours.

India has so far conducted over 60.07 Cr (60,07,69,717) cumulative tests, it added.

It further added that with the administration of 12,30,720 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 1,02,27,12,895 till 7am of Monday.
