Mass enrollment camp for various welfare policy held at Manipur's Chadong village

The schemes and programmes include health card, labour card, weaver card, passbook, group accidental insurance for fishermen, PMSSY and others.

Considering the various grievances faced by the people of Chadong village, the BJP Kishan Morcha Manipur on Saturday conducted a mass enrollment camp for various government programmes and schemes at Chadong village, Kamjong district.

The schemes and programmes includes health card, labour card, weaver card, yarn passbook, group accidental insurance for fishermen, PMSSY and others.

Vice-president of BJP Kishan Morcha Manipur Ningreingam Kashung while speaking to the media said so far 19  fishermen from Chadong died in various accidents. However,16 of them did not get any compensation from the government.

Moreover, many fishermen are living an abnormal life, without any source of income after meeting with accident and many other villagers are living a jobless life, he added. 

The maximum population of Chadong village are under BPL, he said, adding considering all this aspects, the mass enrollment programme was conducted so that the villagers get at least a little benefits from the government.

Such enrollment programme will also be conducted in other surrounding villages, which were affected by the Mapithel Dam, added Ningreingam.

Expression profound happiness for conduction such enrollment camp, villagers of Chadong lauded Ningreingam for his contribution towards the people of Chadong.

A villager, N Shaija said that the villagers have high hope that the state government will take up various initiatives for the welfare of the village in the future.
