The Council of Teachers’ Association (COTA) on Monday appealed to the state government to issue the rectification order of ROP-2019 urgently in the larger interest of the teachers’ community.
A release stated that COTA lamented over the delay in issuing the rectification order of ROP-2019 in respect of school teachers, recalling that the rectification order had been approved by the State Cabinet in the cabinet sitting on December 19, 2020.
The delay of the issuance of the rectification even after 10 months of State Cabinet’s approval hints that the interest of the schools teachers’ community has not been prioritised with the right earnestness by the authority, it stated.
COTA will continue to lend support and cooperation in the endeavour of the education department, especially the ‘School Fagathansi’ mission in order to bring the education sector on par with the modern standard of the new Education Policy (NEP) 2020, it added.
