BJP Core Committee member and Senapati district in charge and also BJP intending candidate in Tamei assembly constituency Z Kikhonbou Newmai on Friday appealed to the public not to sell their valuable votes for personal gains but to cast their votes for all round development in the assembly constituency.
Newmai was speaking at ‘The Mass Reception Programme of Naga People’s Front (NPF) and Other Political Party Leaders to Bharatiya Janata Party- Tamei Mandal cum Election Campaign kick-off of BJP Tousem Block’ and the flag hoisting programme of intending BJP candidate Z Kikhonbou Newmai.
The mass reception programme was held at Utopia Ward No.I, Tamenglong district headquarters organised by BJP Tamei Mandal.
Requesting the people to support him, Kikhonbou Newmai further assured that he would work for all round development of the assembly constituency. "Come what may, we will fight for justice in the election," Kikhonbou said.
BJP Tamei Mandal president Humaliabou formally launched the BJP campaign during the mass reception cum election campaign kick-off of Z Kikhonbou Newmai.
In the meantime, the participants took an oath to cast their votes for BJP candidate Z Kikhonbou Newmai and shouted slogans supporting Modi and Biren.
Agape Baptist Church Tamenglong pastor reverend Khanglian offered prayers for the grand success of the Z Kikhonbou Newmai in the forthcoming state assembly election.
A muffler and cap of BJP was distributed to all the new members by the intending BJP candidate Z Kikhonbou Newmai and BJP president Tamei Mandal.
