Lions Club distributes dry ration to children home

Four clubs donated 10 bags of rice, one bag of potatoes, one bag of onion, one bag of dal, edible oil and face masks to the Children Home.

Lions Club of Imphal in association with Lions Club of Imphal North, Imphal Valley, and Imphal Northern Hemisphere distributed dry rations at Kanglatongbi Children Home on the occasion of the birthday of International president Douglas X Alexander and as a part of ‘Relieving the Hunger.’

Speaking on the occasion, GST coordinator, Manipur W Bhaktaraj said that to celebrate the birthday of the international president, all the clubs across the world should target to donate food to the less privileged during the period of October 10 to 16, stated a release issued on Sunday.

The request of international president Alexander is that “when you are serving a meal, do it from the heart and do it with kindness because kindness truly matters,” it stated.

It mentioned that the four clubs donated 10 bags of rice, one bag of potatoes, one bag of onion, one bag of dal, edible oil and face masks to the Children Home. The president of the four clubs, office bearers and senior members were present on the occasion, it added.
