Al-Ameen CC, Lilong pulled off a 23 runs win against YWC Langthabal in the 5th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament, 2021 which resumed at Luwangpokpa Cricket Ground on Thursday.
This is the last match of the league round, which was supposed to be played on March 16 but postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic in the state. The semi final and relegation match will begin from tomorrow.
Al-Ameen batsman took the strike where opener Md Nousad Ali steadied the innings with 46 runs after the fall of his opening partner Md Basir Rahman on 5 runs. As wickets tumbled in the middle order, Md Nasir Shah provided some relief, hitting 42 runs from 59 balls to post 152 runs for 9 wickets from 40 overs. Md Sagir contributed 16 runs.
YWC Langthabal bowler Bishwas provided some tight spells, capturing 4 wickets for 31 runs from 8 over while Puinachandra, Subash, Manikanta and S Robinson got 1 wickets each.
Chasing the target, YWC batsmen were bundled out for 130 runs for 10 wickets from 35.1 overs as Al-Ameen bowler Nasir Khan proved lethal as he claimed 5 wickets for 31 runs from 8 overs. Nousad Ali grabbed 3 wickets while Habibullah and Najarul picked up 1 wicket each.
Langthabal batsman Mahesh top scored 23 runs while Bishwas got 20 runs and Electronic fetched 16 runs. Al-Ameen bowler Md Nasir Shah was declared the Man of the Match for his 5 wickets haul and 42 runs.
