Bortha FC moved to the quarterfinals beating Lambung YCC by 7-6 goals in the ongoing 1st Thoruwl Trophy 5-A Side Futsal Tournament 2024 played at Thoruwl Turf, Chandel.
With this win, Bortha FC is the first team from Group B to make it to the last eight stages of the meet. The first half play was considerably even as both wasted no chances to stamp their authority over the game with Lambung YCC having the edge with 4-3 goals.
LH Ningthanham scored two goals while KL Mojanghring and HL Phantungam fetched a goal each for Lambung YCC. While for Bortha FC, TH Milan got two and TS Joyngam fetched one.
However, Bortha FC jumped back strongly into the game with TS Joyngam scoring three goals and TH Milan pushed home two more goals to rule the turf in the second half. For Lambung YCC, KL Mojanghring managed to fetch two goals for the sad exit.
Wanderers made their entry to the pre-quarters final beating Deagelo FC by 15-3 goals, while Peaky Brothers also booked their pre-quarter final berth thrashing Purum Pantha YC by 11-6 goals from Group B.
From Group A, the last league match saw Khongjoy YC outplayed by 11-1 goals while Friendship Brothers got a walkover point to Kankhu AFC, to romp into the pre-quarter finals as well.
