Tousem Headquarters Students' Union (THSU) on Friday expressed concerns on the notice issued by Affected Land and Property Owners' Association (ALPOA) National Highway 137, (Tamenglong-Mahur) to the road construction companies to stop all ongoing construction works from February 19.
In a statement, THSU stated that the union is not against the demand raised by ALPOA but the union opposes the stopping of ongoing construction works.
THSU will neither entertain nor cooperate any agitations which will halt the construction works, especially those which fall under the Jurisdiction and the union, it stated. It will never allow any organisations to halt the ongoing construction works under Tousem Jurisdiction, it mentioned.
“Any organisations that interfere with the ongoing construction works will be fought tooth and nail,” it stated. Any unwanted incident or causing harm to construction companies under Tousem Jurisdiction shall be dealt sternly, THSU warned.
