The RNYOM had resolved to call for banning of NH 37 and other National Projects on the matter of internet ban in Manipur’s Naga inhabited areas from the midnight of October 31 in the interest of the Rongmei Naga people.

Since the state government had partially restored internet in the areas, the organisation in its Executives Meeting held on November 10 called off the agitation with immediate effect and appreciated the volunteers and public for their co-operation, the media cell of the RNYOM stated in a release on Friday.

However, the RNYOM warned that the agitation will resume whenever the government bans the internet in Rongmei Naga inhabited areas and appealed to the Rongmei community to co-operate and support the organisation working for the welfare of the community.
