Over 750 entrepreneurs from across Manipur took part at the National SC/ST Hub conclave which was chaired by Union ministers of MSME Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma in the presence of state Textile Minister Nemcha Kipgen and other senior dignitaries in Churachandpur Friday,
The conclave was organised by the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) at the Gospel Centenary Hall in Churachandpur town on Friday. Commissioner of Commerce and Industry PK Jha, joint secretary of MSME Mercy, E-Pao executive director FCI Paishuni Kumar along with Churachandpur DC and SP were also present at the conclave.
During the conclave, more than 15 stalls showcasing indigenous products were opened, while the organisers presented mementos to three outstanding SC and ST entrepreneurs.
On the occasion, chief guest Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma spoke on the Stand-up India scheme as well as the National Scheduled Tribe Finance and Development Corporation which was set up to support the ST entrepreneurs.
Nemcha Kipgen highlighted the roles of MSME in employing the youth and developing entrepreneurship in the state, and encouraged the entrepreneurs to reap the benefits of the various schemes provided by the government.
The inaugural session of the conclave was followed by the technical session which was participated by more than 750 entrepreneurs from the state.
