BJP Kangpokpi went big on celebration to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birth anniversary by organising a mega health camp at L Songtun village in Kangpokpi District and provided health service to hundreds of people of the village and its surrounding areas.
The mega health camp organised by BJP Sadar Hills District and ST Morcha, BJP Kangpokpi was sponsored by the local MLA Nemcha Kipgen, who is also the state minister for Textiles, Commerce and Industry and Cooperation.
The BJP minister also graced the mega health camp where she also adopted five Tuberculosis (TB) patients while providing nutrition foods and other requirements to the five patients during the event apart from handing over PMJAY Card to the beneficiaries.
The minister inspected the various departments installed at the health camp including Gynae, Dental, Mental, Surgery, Eyes, Medicine, General OPD, Pediatrics, etc. and interacted with the special doctors and patients as well.
Minister Nemcha Kipgen said that the mega health camp is a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday celebration while adding that it was scheduled to be held on September 21 but she had it postponed it so as to avail sufficient medicine for free distribution and today it was successfully organized and everyone coming to the camp got various health facilities and medicine sufficiently.
She continued that the PM-JAY Card and the CMHT Card are the two important schemes which exhibited the sheer love and concern towards the poor and needy people by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people's CM N Biren Singh.
She further said that following the instruction of the Prime Minister there is no more cake cutting ceremony and merry making on his birthday celebration but his birthday celebration purely and completely goes health conscious upon the poor and needy.
The minister then urged the people to avail the PM's birthday's health benefits and stay healthy for the society and a self-reliant India.
Specialist in Medicine, Psychiatry, Gynae, Eye, Pediatric, Surgery, Dental, NCD clinic, TB/RNTCP clinic, and RBSK Clinic were available during the camp while other services such as Health card (CMHT/AB-PMJAY), UDID, free diagnostics (krsnaa/Kangla lab), free medicines, COVID-19 vaccination, Routine immunization are also available.
The five TB patients adopted by the Minister Nemcha Kipgen in the event are Otngam Kipgen (58) of L. Songtun, Lamneikim Kipgen (47) of L Songtun, Lilanath Chhetri (33) of Toribari, Mangminlal Hangshing (40) of Kangpokpi Zaphal veng, and a minor girl from Songpibung village.
The village authority of L Songtun also expressed gratitude to the Minister, the state government, doctors and nurses, police and other stakeholders for the mega health camp.
