One died and another was injured in a road mishap along Indo-Burma Road at Yumnam Leikai Lairembi under the jurisdiction of Imphal Police Station, Imphal West District at around 8:45 pm on Saturday.
The mishap happened when two women, who came on a Jupiter scooty, were hit by a bolero camper; the rider succumbed to her injuries at Raj Medicity while the pillion rider was injured.
The deceased is Brahmacharimayum ongbi Minakshi, 38, W/o B. Krishnachandra of Palace Compound, Mahabali Mamang. She succumbed to her injuries at Raj Medicity.
Imphal Police station has registered a case on the incident and the bolero camper has also been arrested.
The body has been handed over to the family members after conducting a post-mortem at RIMS mortuary.
