After RD and PR Minister Y Khemchand Singh and Agriculture Minister Th Biswajit were reportedly summoned by Union Home Minister Amit Shah to the national capital earlier; CAFPD Minister Y Susindro Singh (Yaima) on Tuesday left for New Delhi to meet central party leaders.
Yaima told media at the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport that he has been summoned by the central leaders to discuss the ongoing situation that occurred in the last few days.
“I don’t know the reason why the two ministers were summoned but for me, they (central leaders) told me that they wanted to discuss the incidents that occurred in the last few days”, said Susindro.
A reliable source informed that Ministers Khemchand, Biswajit and MLA S Rajen met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday and discussed the ongoing crisis of Manipur.
Earlier during his visit in May-June, the home minister had assured that the ongoing blockade along NH-2 will be withdrawn.
However, confusion still exists regarding the economic blockade. And despite his assurance that he would return to that state after a gap of 10-15, it’s been exactly a month since his visit and the people are yet to see his face again.
And despite central leaders and the state government talking about normalcy returning soon to the state, gunfights at peripheral areas still continue.
And after four were left dead following the gunfight at Khujumantabi on Sunday, a fresh gunfight occurred on Tuesday at the same area. However, no causality has been reported.
