The department of Higher Education Government of Manipur organised a deliberation programme on Modi@20: Dreams meet Delivery in the presence of Union minister RK Ranjan Singh on Saturday at Moreh College Moreh (MCM).
The book ‘Modi@20’ containing five sections with 20 chapters was deliberated thoroughly by head department of English K Shantikumar Sharma; head department of Zoology S Norjit Singh; head, department of Geography Dr Seiyang Baite.
The book was released on May 11 at Bhigyan Bhawan, New Delhi which highlighted the roles and achievements of Narendra Modi in his career of 20 years as head of government. The book deliberated on Modi's role and achievements during his 12 years as chief minister of Gujarat and then eight years as the Prime Minister of India.
RK Ranjan, who attended the programme as chief guest, said that the deliberations are organised at some unique colleges. India being a diversity of people, language, culture and religion is now united as a one nation, he said. Equal opportunity for development, equal opportunity for benefits is the dream of Modi, he said.
Principal Moreh College SL Lunjapao Vaiphei attended the programme as president, while additional director, state University and Higher Education P Shantikumar Singh, vice president, MFIC Ajit Singh; state secretary BJP Manipur Pradesh P Somorjit and Paokam Haokip attended as guests of honour.
Leaders from Meetei Council Moreh, Hill Tribal Council, Tamil Sangam, MMCM, ACODOM, KSO Moreh block, Gorkha Samaj Samiti, teachers and students of Moreh College Moreh also attended the programme.
