Congress urges MPs to raise Manipur issue in Parliament

A team of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) submitted a memorandum to the three MPs of the state.

The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Saturday submitted a memorandum to the three Manipur MPs, namely RK Ranjan Singh, Lorho S Pfoze and Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba, urging the government of India to take up the prevailing issue of Manipur in the winter Parliament session.

A team of MPCC comprising professor M Ramananda Singh, professor Kh Romesh Singh led by vice president, MPCC Hareshwar Goshwami under the aegis of president, MPCC Keisham Meghachandra submitted a memorandum to the three MPs.

The team also met Union Minister of State RK Ranjan Singh and pressured him to put up the Manipur issue in the winter parliament session.

Lorho S Pfoze said that he wants to bring peace in Manipur. He is ready to help to restore peace to Manipur and ready to bring out a solution to solve the problem of Manipur crisis.

The team could not meet the Maharaja Leishamba Sanajaoba personally as he was not available in his residential office. The memorandum to put up the burning issue of Manipur in the ongoing Parliament session was handed over to a family member.

The MPCC urged the three MPs to take up the present issues of Manipur for an appropriate decision during the Parliamentary Session with special attention on immediate rehabilitation and restoration of all displaced persons with adequate security and payment of suitable compensation urgently. And, immediate measures for the restoration of peace and normalcy in Manipur.
