The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has alleged the Government of India (GoI) of still extending support towards the Chin-Kuki Narco terrorists even after the violence started by the illegal narco terrorist completed nine months.

The committee also questioned GoI about their hidden agenda on continuing the SoO between GOI and the narco terrorists even after it claimed numerous lives by affecting the territorial integrity of Manipur.

In a release on Tuesday, COCOMI appealed to the Meitei people to be on strict vigil from the frequent attacks carried out by the Chin Kuki narco terrorists. It said that COCOMI had already submitted a report on the Assam rifles supporting the Kuki militants during the ongoing violence. It also showed proof of Assam rifles personnel turning a blind eye on the attacks carried out by the narco terrorists towards the Manipur state forces stationed at Moreh, the release mentioned.

It also questioned the state government for not taking a firm stand on the current violence when GoI had turned a blind eye. It urged the state government to take a decision to completely flush out the Chin Kuki narco terrorist from the state as it has killed numerous state forces from their attacks.

COCOMI strongly condemned the different attacks carried out by the Chin-Kuki narco terrorists on December 30, 2023 which killed two Meitei village volunteers, Ningombam Jamesbond from Mayang Langjing Taning and Chingakham Lamyanba of Tummukhok Awang Leikai. It also honoured the two martyrs.

It said that it is a well-known fact of the ongoing violence that the Indian security forces have been silent spectators on the numerous attacks carried out by the Chin Kuki narco terrorists.

A perfect example of these are carrying out economic blockades on the national highways, looting and destroying vehicles whenever they want, it said.

It added that during a full scale war between countries it exempted the medical and patients. But in the national highways it even set ablazed medicinal supplies, it said.

The Supreme Court of India has already issued an order to stop carrying out bandhs and blockades on the national highways but the Kukis on December 24, 2023, set ablazed medicinal supplies worth Rs. 45 lakhsl at Kangpokpi along the Imphal Dimapur National Highway, which is a Kuki dominated area, it recalled.

It further questioned GoI on how long they will turn a blind eye on the series of unlawful activities carried out along the national highways. It also demanded the government for stringent action against those who are involved in the heinous crimes.

People of the state have been condemning the state government’s initiative on War against drugs as the government and the large number of central security forces deployed in the state failed to completely abolish poppy plantations in the state, it stated.

It urged the state government to flush out the illegal immigrants and retract the constitutional privilege from them as they have caused huge demographic imbalance to the native people of the state.
