Popular comedian Raju Srivastava, who suffered a heart attack, passed away in Delhi on Wednesday, after 41 days of hospitalisation, according to reports. He was 58.
The comedian was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi after he suffered a heart attack while working out at a gym on August 10.
According to the reports, Raju Srivastava will be cremated in Delhi on Thursday.
Raju Srivastava was a part of several comedy shows like The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Comedy Circus and The Kapil Sharma Show. He also featured in Bollywood films, including Maine Pyaar Kiya, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, Tezaab, Baazigar, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, among others.
Grieving the demise of the popular comedian, many took to Twitter to extend their condolences.
Extending his condolences over the death of the comedia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Raju Srivastava "will continue to live in the hearts of countless people".

Union Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal tweeted, "Saddened to hear the news of the untimely demise of iconic comic artist Raju Srivastava. He had enthralled the entire nation with his comedy and wonderful works. My deepest condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti".

Aruncahal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu remembered Raju Srivastava as " a nice and a lively human being".
"Saddened by passing away of ace comedian and actor Raju Srivastava Ji. He was a nice and a lively human being. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the bereaved family. May Lord Buddha provide peace to his soul," PM Khadu tweeted.
