Manipur on Saturday witnessed a drop in daily COVID-19 positive cases at 53 from Friday's 98 cases, while no deaths were reported, according to official sources.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases reached 1,39,037, including 1,36,326 recoveries, 2129 deaths and 582 active cases as of Saturday, stated a release by the state Directorate of Health Services.
Of the new positive cases, Imphal West reported the highest surge of 21 cases, Imphal East 15, Thoubal and Churachandpur three each, Bishnupur and Tamenglong one each, Chandel, Kangpokpi and Ukhrul two each, and Senapati four.
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the release stated.
Meanwhile, a total of 84 D-type oxygen cylinders and 5 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of July 29.
The number of beds available at JNIMS is 16 of 38 total beds, while at RIMS, it is 24 of 62 total beds as of Saturday.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 31,01,985 (first dose: 16,13,650, second dose: 12,86,300 and precautionary dose: 2,02,035.
The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 62.20 per cent and for the second dose is 53.97 per cent, it mentioned.
