'Living Heritage of Arunachal' to be launch on World Tourism Day 2022

The event will take place as part of a series of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and US-India 75th anniversary celebrations, the Embassy of United States of America said in a statement.

An audio-visual documentation and website highlighting the cultural heritage of the indigenous tribes in Arunachal Pradesh 'Living Heritage of Arunachal' will be launched on Tuesday in New Delhi.

"An exhibition and film screenings, and a new website on the fascinating cultural heritage of 17 indigenous communities of Arunachal Pradesh in Northeastern India will be organised on World Tourism day 2022," the Embassy of United States of America said in a statement. 

The event is also taking place as part of a series of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and US-India 75th anniversary celebrations, it stated.

US acting deputy chief of mission Brian Heath will launch the project website, attend the premiere film screening, and deliver remarks at the All-India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) Auditorium, in 
New Delhi.

The project is supported by the United States Mission in India’s Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation, the Ministry of Tourism and UNESCO’s International Information and Network for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific (ICHCAP), it added.
