IMPHAL: The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has declared that it has merged with the GPRN/NSCN led by Kitovi.
A joint statement signed by the chairman, Raitu Chawang and vice-chairman S. Kamson, said, “after a series of deliberation between the GPRN/NSCN and ZUF in presence of the civil society of Zeliangrong, the ZUF on its own volition, will and determination for the bright future of the Nagas in general and specifically for the upcoming generations.”
As such, the outfit resolved to merge and be dissolved in the GPRN/NSCN and shall remain as one entity by all means and ways and ZUF shall cease to exist with this declaration, it said.
The declaration which purportedly made on October 26, was also endorsed by N. Kitovi Zhimomi, ato kilonser (Prime Minister) of GPRN/NSCN and special envoy to the collective leadership of the outfit.
