Wage war against drugs with sincerity: Ningol Club Heirok
The present generation of the state may become ruined if the state government does not deal with the issue with dedication, commitment and sincerity, it said.
The Ningol Club Heirok has appealed to the authorities concerned to wage the war against drugs with honesty and sincerity to curb the drugs menace in the state.
A release issued on Saturday from Ningol Club Heirok has stated that the number of drug users in the state is increasing at an alarming rate. The present generation of the state may become ruined if the state government does not deal with the issue with dedication, commitment and sincerity, it said.
The release alleged that instead of controlling the drugs issue in the state, the leaders of state and law enforcing agencies are getting involved in the drugs business. The recent incident of granting bail to one of the accused drugs kingpin, Lukhosei Zou and the transfer of former additional SP NAB in connection with the case is one such example, it stated.
The release said that many unwanted incidents or crimes are happening in the state due to the increase of drug abusers. The state government or the people of the state should not ignore drug abusers but rather give efforts to bring them on the right path, it said.
The youths of the state are highly talented and they have enough potential. The state government should find ways to extract their inner potential and prevent them from becoming drug users, it added.
The release said that the state has enough natural resources such as uranium, chromites, limestone and many medical plants. To loot such resources, the government of India is adopting various ways and means like implementation of black laws, construction of dams and so on, it alleged.
Ningol Club Heirok further appealed not to get involved in all the activities and carry forward the war against drugs in the right direction.
