The Great Storm

My feet are stuck in the ground providing shelter and shade to weary birds and travellers... I don’t speak much nor complain about the wind...

I’ve been like a tree for quite sometime now.
My feet are stuck in the ground providing shelter and shade to weary birds and travellers
I gave them space and time to reflect.
I don’t speak much nor complain about the wind.

I’ve shed many a leaves and fruits:
blown away by the wind to somewhere new.
Left wondering how far the wind goes.
At times, the wind blows hard, hard enough to make my branches move.

A larger part of me always got stuck, whilst trying to go with the wind.
Now the great storm is here at last.
Ready I am to go with it.
