Thadou Inpi boycotts six leaders of HPC, HSO and Haokip Inpi

The step has been taken by the Thadou Inpi in response to the social boycott called by the leaders of HPC, HSO and Chassad In-charge/Haokip Inpi on July 23 against four Haokip individuals who serve in Thadou organisations namely Thadou Inpi, Thadou Students’ Association (TSA) and Thadou Youth Association (TYA).

The Thadou Inpi has called for a social boycott against the six leaders of the Haokip People’s Council (HPC), the Haokip Students’ Organization (HSO) and the Chassad in-charge/Haokip Inpi with effect from August 24.

The step has been taken by the Thadou Inpi in response to the social boycott called by the leaders of HPC, HSO and Chassad In-charge/Haokip Inpi on July 23 against four Haokip individuals who serve in Thadou organisations namely Thadou Inpi, Thadou Students’ Association (TSA) and Thadou Youth Association (TYA).

The Thadou Inpi had earlier urged the leaders of HPC, HSO and Chassad In-charge/Haokip Inpi to withdraw their boycott but there was no positive response even after one month.

The six individuals are, Lunkhohen Haokip, son of (Late) Letkhohen Haokip, Chassad In-charge, Haokip Inpi, Zomi Villa, Imphal East; Tongkhohao Haokip, son of (Late) Paolen Haokip, president, HPC-GHQ; Tongmang Haokip, son of (Late) Paolen Haokip, Thuching, general secretary, Haokip Inpi of Saitu Village, presently staying at Haokip Veng, Imphal East; Tungkhojang Haokip, son of (Late) Doukhomang Haokip, general secretary, HPC-GHQ; Satkhomang Haokip, son of Letthang Haokip, general secretary, HPC of Chassad Avenue, Imphal East and Zalaisem alias Sesem Haokip, son of Lamthang Haokip, president, HSO of Motsohoi village, Kangpokpi district, presently staying at Mantripukhri, Imphal West.

The Thadou Inpi also said that the mentioned six individuals shall not be allowed to take part in Thadou Inpi or any other Thadou civil organisations or any Thadou activities during the period of the boycott.

 It said the boycott will remain in place until the social boycott served by the six individuals against the four leaders of Thadou Inpi, TSA and TYA is withdrawn. If any untoward incidents happen to any of the four Thadou leaders, the six individuals who issued the boycott will solely be held responsible, it added.
