Successful candidates from the state are Parikshit Thoudam (AIR-60), Waikhom Nydia Devi (AIR-180), Heikrujam Prasanjeet (AIR-578), Kshetrimayum Deepi Chanu (AIR-621), Hatchinghoi Haokip (AIR-673) and Lourembam Nelson Mangangcha (AIR-757).
Hatchinghoi Haokip secured All Indian Rank 637 in the recently declared UPSC Civil Service Examination 2020.
Candidate Shubham Kumar topped the UPSC Civil Services examination, followed by Jagrati Awasthi and Ankita Jain in second and third rank respectively.
The UPSC has recommended candidates for appointment to the posts in the Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service.

The Union Public Service Commission was in the midst of conducting the Personality Tests (PTs)/Interviews for 2,304 candidates for the Civil Services Examination, 2019 (CSE-2019) when the Government of India decided to impose lockdown to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The requests of the candidates for change in their centres will be considered against the additional/enhanced capacity intimated by the centres for accommodating the additional candidates.
