The All Manipur Ethnical Socio-cultural Organisation held a tree plantation programme at Ahallup Bamdier Awang Leikai in Imphal West district.
The programme was organised under the theme “Each one Plant One” with the view to help keep the sports complex a green environment zone.
A lecture on anti-drug abuse under ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA)’ was organised by Somsai Battalion, Assam Rifles, at Tusom Christian Village of Ukhrul district.
Tree saplings were also provided to various chiefs of the adjoining area of Lhungtin subdivisional Headquarters to be planted in their respective villages.

A total of 4,601 saplings of various types, including fruit bearing trees, were planted at Chandel town, Modi, Pallel, Bongyang, Larong, Machi, Kotal Khuntak and Moltuk villages.
