The protest is a part of the agitations initiated by the Ad Hoc Committee of the constituent colleges of Dhanamanjuri University (DMU), demanding absorption of the existing teachers of the constituent colleges of DMU before any fresh recruitment of faculty.
Another joint sit-in protest will be held at the DM College of Commerce on January 9 and at DM College of Arts on January 11.
The chief minister of Manipur has given his consent and the selection will be on Merit basis, said Rajen.
