MPCC spokesperson Ningombam Bupenda Meitei asked why the union minister laid the foundation of 16 NH projects at Rs 2.19 crore less for every kilometer of highways than what his own Ministry awarded years ago.
Gadkari said projects worth Rs 5,000 crore have also been sanctioned for the state and the detailed project reports (DPR) will be completed within six months and the work will start in a year’s time.
The road transport minister said there will be quantum jump in development of tourism, economic and international connectivity of the region.
