The proposed undergraduate programmes are Bachelor in Physical Education, Bachelor in Home Science, Bachelor in Psychology, Bachelor in Computer Science, Bachelor in Environmental Studies, Bachelor in Defence and Strategic Studies and Bachelor in Mass Communication and Journalism.
Lack of access to higher studies is undeniable. Undoubtedly, the Government has made enormous provisions for tuition fee waiver, scholarships, and subsidized education to poor children. But sometimes extreme poverty and social conditions may make it impossible for students to be able to get admitted into a course in time.
The government with the initiative of School Fagathansi Mission has improved the education system in the state, S Rajen Singh said.
Pointing out that teacher is the most respectable and highest standard profession as they are guiding the future generations, Ranjan asked the general public to honour and give best regards to the teachers of Manipur.
Several academic experts in Manipur are of the view that mother tongue is imperative for effective teaching and learning process.
