A one-day legal awareness programme on “ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) -Focussing on the issues of matrimonial/family disputes in the district” and “Sensitisation on Tele Law Legal Services” as a part of Integrated Delivery of Legal Services (IDLS-DISHA Schemes) at Leipung Tampak, Chandel District.
The one-day legal awareness programme on “Government Social Welfare Schemes and Sensitisation on Tele Law Legal Services” was held as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign
The programme was held for PLVs, legal service personnel and police personnel at Moreh Police Complex, Tengnoupal district, Manipur.
District and Sessions Judge, Imphal West cum chairman of DLSA, Tamenglong Aribam Guneshwar stated that PLVs give legal services to grass root levels that cannot be reached out by judges and advocates.
The National Lok Adalat 2022 to be held on March 12 will be conducted in offline mode for pending court cases.
Secretary of All Tribal Women Organisation (ATWO) R Moikham highlighted about the discriminations faced by a girl child in today’s society.
The Manipur High Court chief justice said that the reality is that in most of the cases, litigations came from the ignorance, so the Legal Services Authority is to educate and sensitize them.
