The IMA contended that the recent notification by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) allows postgraduate students of Ayurveda to perform 39 general surgery procedures and 19 surgeries of eye, ears, nose and throat which are otherwise performed by well-trained surgeons of modern medicine.
The way the COVID-19 frontline workers in the state are made to pay for the hotel quarantine comes as a mockery to their dedication and commitments in fighting the pandemic, the IMA stated.
