Despite the state government order on parking restriction, vehicle owners have once again started parking their vehicles along the main market stretch, where they do not have to pay parking fees, instead of using the allotted parking space.
The state government on April 5 issued an order that residents and shop owners in both the stretches of Paona and Thangal bazaars should park their vehicles at the western side of Johnstone Higher Secondary School and on public parking space of Naga Nullah respectively. However, the government order remained effective for hardly two-three days and the vehicles were parked as usual.
An order allegedly signed by H Gyaan Prakash, special secretary (Home), stated that the “Disturbed Area” has been extended in the state for another year.
The government order stated that all coaching classes and private tuition for school students located within the state as well as all boarding and hostels in schools and private hostels accommodating students will continue to remain closed.
