FEGOCTA continued to hold sit-in protests, demanding UGC 7th Pay for all college teachers.
A sit-in protest cum meeting of the college teachers of Manipur was held on Saturday in front of the Central Hall of the DM College of Science, Imphal.
College teachers in both the hills and valley staged a sit-in protest under the banner of FEGOCTA at their respective colleges for the fifth day on Wednesday.

The All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM) has appealed to the state government to resolve 7th UGC Pay and Regulation, 2018 demanded by the college teachers so that the admission process and other academic activities are not disturbed once the educational institutions are reopened.
The decisions was taken up as a part of agitation against the state government’s failure to implement the 7th Pay for the government colleges and technical institutes teachers, said FEGOCTA general secretary N Somorendro.
The Federation of Government College Teachers' Association (FEGOCTA) said it will not accept the negligence of the state government in issuing the order of implementation of national education policy of UGC.
