The total COVID-19 confirmed cases reached 3,38,94,312 with 22,431 new cases, while the death toll mounted to 4,49,856, as 318 more people succumbed to the disease.
Imphal West on Friday reported seven more deaths due to COVID-19, while Thoubal, Churachandpur and Imphal East reported three deaths each.
As per the latest update by the Union Health Ministry, the country’s COVID-19 confirmed tally rose to 1,45,26,609 with 2,34,692 new cases and the death toll surged to 1,75,649 with the highest single-day death tally of 1,341 cases
The country’s total number of COVID-19 deaths reached 1,46,444, which is 1.45 per cent of the total caseload of 1,00,99,066 on Wednesday.

Thursday’s COVID-19 victims in Manipur included three from Imphal East and one from Imphal West.
By October 20, punitive action will be taken up by the police department including monetary fines and FIR against any individual who does not follow the SOPs, said the additional SP.
One more patient died of COVID-19 in Manipur on Tuesday
Manipur reported one more death due to COVID-19 on Saturday while the positive tally rose to 7,731.
On Saturday, the state reported 83 more COVID-19 positive patients, including 22 personnel of the Central Reserved Police Force, pushing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 5132.
The state also reported 124 new COVID-19 cases, taking the positive tally to 3217 cases.
