College teachers in Manipur have been demanding to implement the 7th Pay Commission since 2018, Rajen said.
The 16-day-long cease work strike was called off on Saturday following an assurance given by the state government of issuing the order of the UGC 7th Pay and Regulations within two weeks as per the demands of the federation, said N Somorendro.
The AMCTA president said the only solution for ending the cease work strike will be implementing the demanded pay scale.
FEGOCTA continued to hold sit-in protests, demanding UGC 7th Pay for all college teachers.
The resolution to call off the cease work strike was taken during an emergency executive committee meeting that was held online on Wednesday.
