Sikkim on Wednesday celebrated Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang’s birthday as he turned 52.
President Ram Nath Kovind was among the many well wishers. He wished Tamang “good health, happiness and many more years of continued and dedicated service to the nation”, CM secretary S D Dhakal said.
Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu also greeted the chief minister on his birthday and wished for his healthy life and many more years of service to the nation.
Tamang, who is also popularly called PS Golay, took to Twitter to thank the president and vice-president for their wishes.
“I am extremely pleased and humbled to receive birthday greetings from the Hon’ble @rashtrapatibhvn and the Hon’ble Vice-President @MVenkaiahNaidu,” Tamang tweeted.
Tamang, founder of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha, was born on February 5, 1968.
