Prince Charles has tested positive for COVID-19 or coronavirus and is now isolating in the royal Balmoral Estate in Scotland with Duchess of Cornwall Camilla, reports said.
“The Prince of Wales has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health,” a statement from the Clarence House said.
The Duchess of Cornwall has also been tested but tested negative for the virus, according to the statement.
The Prince and the Duchess were tested by the NHS in Aberdeenshire where they met the criteria required for testing.
“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks,” the Clarence House added.
Britain has reported over 8,000 COVID-19 positive cases and has seen more than 400 deaths.
