Commissioner (Education Schools) Manipur, T Ranjit Singh on Monday clarified that there is no postponement of the examinations (both theory and practical) conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) and Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM).
The commissioner made the clarification while briefing the media at office of COHSEM after a fake order dated March 16 in the name of the governor was circulated on social media. The fake order stated that all kinds of examinations conducted by BOSEM and COHSEM will be postponed until further notification.
The commissioner said that he came to know about the fake order on Monday after secretary of COHSEM informed him. He said that the fake order have been forged from the governor’s order dated March 12 regarding closure of all schools in the state. The governor’s order stated that BOSEM and COHSEM examination will not be affected by the closure of the schools, he added.
He continue saying that a report had been submitted to the officer in charge, Cyber Crime Police Station on March 16 to lodge an FIR and to investigate the matter and to take appropriate action against the culprit.
