NIA raids two commercial outlets, residence in Imphal

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out raids at three different locations in Imphal area in cases which are suspected to be related to terror funding from the wee hours of Tuesday. The raids were still going on till the filing of this report.

Two of the raids were carried out at Eastern Hero two wheelers showroom, Chingmeirong and Maruti Suzuki Arena four wheelers showroom, Chingmeirong, both owned by Sinam Pritam of Chingmeirong.


NIA also carried out raid at the residence of one Ramung located at Dewlaland Kabo Leikai. Ramung is the proprietor of Ramung Enterprises, which deals with TMT bars and cement.  


The NIA team is led by a DIG according to sources and is assisted by state police forces. CRPF and IRB personnel were seen deployed in front all the three areas where the raids are being conducted to prevent any kind of entry by the public.

Till the filing of this report there was no official report of any kind of seizures during the raids.
