National Tribal Festival 2020 through the lens

The Aadi Natay Samagam (National Tribal Festival ) kicks off today at Ukhrul’s TNL ground, January 16, 2020. Organised by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, National Academy of Music, Dance and Drama, an autonomous body of Ministry of Culture, Government of India in collaboration with Natural and Cultural Heritage Conservation Initiative (NCHCI), Ukhrul, the festival will conclude on January 19,2020.

Zou Cultural Troupes from Churachandpur presenting a folk song on unity in diversity- though we are scattered and categorised in the name of different communities, we all are children of the same parents. We all came from a place called Khul.
An Odisha troupe performing tribal dance –“Ghudka” which depicts the daily life of the tribal community called Sabar Janjati, who have no expectation about earning much but believe in simple living
Cultural Troupe from Assam enacted a play theatre titled “Sons of Earth Mother”- script, concept and direction by Sukracharjya Rabha (10 April 1977- 8 June 2018).
