Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India, Bandi Sanjay Kumar convened a review meeting with the line departments of the centrally sponsored schemes in Nagaland which was held at the Secretariat Conference Hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima on Monday.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who is on a two-day visit to Nagaland after thorough deliberations with the centrally sponsored schemes implementation department and other centrally sponsored schemes, assured that all the suggestions and challenges faced by the state have been duly noted and it will be put forth for further necessary action to the central ministry.
Chief Secretary of Nagaland, J Alam, while delivering his welcome address said that the review meeting with the senior officials was convened to get an overview of the various schemes and programmes being implemented by the state government with assistance from the Government of India. Alam also said the meeting also reviewed all the flagship programmes and also oversaw the progress being made in the exploration schemes and aspirational blocks.
Alam also gave a brief overview of the state and highlighted some major ongoing projects in the state like four lane, national highways, railway projects connecting the state and many other iconic projects with central assistance.
Chairing the meeting, Home Commissioner, Vyasan R, thanked everyone who had made time for the respective decisions and highlighted key issues that are very unique to the state.
Representatives of Kiphire, Zunheboto and Noklak highlighted the progress and challenges faced by the Aspirational Districts/Blocks in Nagaland through power point presentations.

Status of the centrally sponsored schemes for the year 2024-25, Government of Nagaland, was presented by the Planning Department through Power Point Presentation.
Various centrally sponsored schemes implementing departments and aspirational districts also shared their challenges faced during the implementation of the schemes during the meeting.
