PM-Kisan scheme has benefitted over one lakh farmers of Nagaland and over two lakh farmers have enrolled in the welfare scheme, according to DIPR.
Per Directorate of information public relations (DIPR), of 2,33,366 farmers enrolled in the PM-Kisan scheme, 1,32,929 farmers have been benefited and the state farmers have received a total amount of Rs 52,52,04,000.
The state lauded the initiatives of the Narendra Modi-led government for the benefit rendered to the farmers and expressed gratitude, especially to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on behalf of the state’s farming community.
The farmers welfare scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) was launched in February, 2019. Under the scheme farmers are given Rs 6000 per year.
The fund is given to farmers by the Central government as income support to meet petty expenses. The funds are transferred directly from the Finance Department, Government of India to the farmers account in three instalments every year.
