As a part of the National Integration Tour to Delhi and Agra organised by the Indian Army, the participating 18 students and 02 staff members from Moirang, Kwaktha and Kumbi village interacted with the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind on November 16, said a PIB release.
It stated that the President advised the students to focus on their studies and work hard for a successful career. A guided tour of the Rashtrapati Bhavan besides other premier institutions were also organised for the students on tour. They also witnessed the strides made by India in the fields of economy, entertainment and infrastructure, it said.
The National Integration Tour was organised by the Indian Army under the theme of ‘Today’s Children, tomorrow’s future of the North East’ with the objective to harness the potential of children from remote locations and poor families, it added.
