Forms for the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system which came into force in the state recently were distributed at Thoubal district where work on the ILP was taken up from Monday.
As a part of the implementation of ILP the district administration of Thoubal took up a two-day awareness cum facilitation workshop at the YASTA ground next to the Thoubal Municipal Council.
The focus of the programme was to hand over forms for the ILP to non-residents of the state who are putting up in the area. The programme saw outsiders from Thoubal, Wangjing and Yairipok taking 150 forms for regular permit.
The assistant commissioner of the Thoubal district administration, Polem Lenin, said during the workshop those who could not collect the forms on Monday could do so from Room No. 36 at Thoubal DC old secretariat building.
He also asked people in the neighbourhood who were keeping outsiders on rent to help in the ILP implementation work.
