Manipur students close down DMU online registration

The students' union urged the university not to take any charges for online registration in view of the present pandemic.

Student bodies of all the colleges under the Dhanamanjuri University in Manipur have indefinitely closed down the online registration process for the admission in various undergraduate courses.

The decision was taken opposing the university authority for charging fees for online registration despite the students union’s objection, stated a joint release issued by the student union of DM College of Science, DM College of Arts, DM College of Commerce and GP Women's College.

The students' union urged the university not to take any charges for online registration in view of the present pandemic, it stated. But authority concerned has not considered the request made by various student bodies, it added.

Condemning the attitude of authority concerned, the students' union will close down the online registration for admission in various undergraduate courses in the colleges affiliated under DMU, the release stated. It also appealed to the education minister to draw attention in this regard.
