Manipur government identifies 130 quarantine centres to accommodate 7,000 inmates
33 institutional quarantine centres which have the capacity of 2,000 people are effectively functioning.
The Manipur health directorate has identified 130 institutional or government quarantine centres that can accommodate around 7,000 inmates.
As per information received from the directorate, 33 institutional quarantine centres which have the capacity of 2,000 people are effectively functioning. The state government has also identified 130 such quarantine centres in various parts of the state. Identification is being done to prevent the problem of shortage of quarantine centres. Around 360 community quarantine centres have opened in all the districts. The number may increase according to time and situation.
A release issued from Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme stated that 4,163 people are admitted in various community quarantine centres till Monday. The number of people currently in government quarantine or institutional quarantine centre is 1,490 and there is zero report of home quarantine at present. The cumulative number of home quarantine was 486, government quarantine 3,967 and community quarantine 4,163, it added.
The release further added that number of test result received on Monday was 149 at RIMS and zero in JNIMS. However the cumulative number of test result received so far were 1,348 from RIMS, 1,120 from JNIMS and 15 from NIV, Pune/GMCH. 385 truckers and 234 commuters were screened at Mao gate on Monday, 239 truckers and 27 commuters at Jiriban four truckers at Jessami. The cumulative number of person screened at Mao was 64,999, Jiribam-11,871 and Jessami-144.
It also stated that total number of COVID-19 positive case is seven, of which five are active. The control room had attended 302 calls on Monday and so far, the room had received 13,253 calls, it mentioned.
