After collecting a sum of Rs 1.16 crore approximately from customers and distributors, authorities of a local cable news network have allegedly failed to honour the contract to commence operations.
The proposed cable network reportedly promised earlier to start operations from September 25.
“Chairman of Lamjingba Groups Jacky Sanasam has failed to keep his word and he has not entertained our requests to meet him. It has been over two months,” said a visibly irked distributor, Mayanglambam Kumar in a press meet held on Monday at Manipur Press Club.
If Lamjingba Groups fail to give a positive response to give a schedule for telecasting the local news channel within December 7, the company should refund the deposited amount of the customers as well as for the cable network distributors, he added.
“Customers who were convinced by us to subscribe to the local cable network service have started showing their anger at us as the schedule for telecasting has been delayed for more than two months,” said the distributer.
