Irabot commemoration programme held at Mana Ching, Keibi, Manipur.

The North East Forum for International Solidarity (NEFIS) activists on Saturday organised a commemoration programme on the occasion of Irabot’s death anniversary. The programme was held at Mana Ching, Keibi, Manipur. During the programme, the activists remembered Irabot’s intensive work towards building a truly democratic, progressive people’s movement in the Northeast region.

“His revolutionary views on the question of creating a just society where different communities coexist with mutual respect for each other were emphasised... Irabot stood for unity among different oppressed communities as a necessary step for people to liberate themselves,” NEFIS said. It said that the activists also pledged to continue to struggle for Irabot’s revolutionary aims and pledged to fight for an equal and just society, as well as against oppression of the people and exploitation of workers and peasants.
