India's COVID-19 active caseload drops to 2,99,620, lowest in 191 days

The country’s COVID-19 active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases, currently at 0.89 per cent.

India on Monday reported 26,041 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours that pushed the total active caseload to 2,99,620; lowest in 191 days, according to the latest update by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

The country’s COVID-19 active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases, currently at 0.89 per cent.

The recovery rate stood at 97.78 per cent as 29,621 more people recovered in the last 24 hours. The total recoveries increased to 3,29,31,972.

The weekly positivity rate (1.94 per cent) remained less than three per cent for last 94 days, while the daily positivity rate remained below three per cent for last 28 days at 2.24 per cent.

Meanwhile, over 56.44 crore total tests have been conducted across the country so far and over 86.01 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
